Soulless Traveler Poem

Writing Poetry

There dwells a being, a haunting void,

A vessel empty, cold, devoid.

A soulless being, lost in time,

An empty vessel, without rhyme,

No spark of life, no flicker bright,

Just somber darkness, infinite night.

Traveling and searching,

No beating heart, no breath to take,

No dreams to dream, no songs to make.

A soul untethered, without a guide,

In a world where even echoes hide.

Traveling and searching,.

No laughter's echo, no tears to shed,

No passion's fire, no words said,

A hollow vessel, dead inside,

Where once a soul, with life did ride.

Traveling and searching.

In the void, longing cries,

Seeking solace, to feel alive.

Traveling and searching.

Seek the fleeting echoes of the sun,

Embrace the warmth, and become someone,

Let love's celestial fire ignite,

And fill your void with radiant light.

You have been here before and are going to repeat,

And find the beauty of being, in the unknown.

The thought and inspiration of this poem came to mind on one of my many hiking excursions while living on Maui.
