Writing Poetry about the Rain
Tropical Rain, a poem.

As water and wind take the stage,
Tropical rain writes verses upon each page.
With a gentle touch upon the earth as it falls,
Creating a gently lullaby for all.
Each droplet creating a pitter patter,
Gently eroding dirt and rock, solid matter.
A rhythmic downpour drowns the lands,
Replenishing rivers, streams, and quenching the plants.
I had taken many hikes in the rain and I always loved the deafening roar of the rain and the quietness it also brought around me. The only real thing to be weary of on hikes in Hawaii during a rain or a downpour are how fast trails and ridgelines can become treacherous when wet or stream beds rising fast. Flash Floods are a real danger.
